Color inspires me.  I began hand dyeing cotton in the 1990s.  I mixed red, blue, and yellow dyes, then combined them in different proportions to create lighter and darker, brighter and quieter color palettes.  After building up a healthy fabric stash, I began quilting.  While embroidery is now my favored form expression, I still enjoy quilting and continue to use hand dyed fabrics to construct quilted frames for my embroidery quilts.
